Our program offers 15 hours in the aircraft and 20 in the classroom. Since we know CFI trainees want to fly aircraft in which they are most experienced, we offer both low-wing Diamond DA20/40/40NGs and high-wing Cessna 172S. We include instructor spin training in our program, too. As long as you come to us with your Commercial SEL certification, CFI written exams completed, and sample lesson plans prepared, you never have to look elsewhere to complete the requirements for your instructor certificate.
Your last stage check in the CFI program is with our management team and counts as a job interview if you want to work with us after passing your check ride. We would never graduate someone that we wouldn’t hire ourselves (though you’re under no pressure or obligation whatsoever to work for Take Flight Aviation and employment is not a guarantee for graduates). We work with multiple examiners, so have practical exams available as instructor trainees graduate our course. Classes start monthly.
