Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

Our Accelerated CFI Program is offered in a small group setting of 
2 – 6 students which is extremely conducive to information sharing and efficient learning. With a first time pass rate of over 90%, the Take Flight CFI program has a proven track record of building adept and successful flight instructors.

The program offers approximately 15 hours in the aircraft – the rest of the 35 hours of training are classroom based. Take Flight offers both low wing Diamond DA20, DA40, DA40NG and the high wing glass panel Cessna 172S to ensure you always have an aircraft that meets your needs.

Requirements to be completed prior to starting course

• Current FAA Single Engine Land Commercial Certificate

• Current FAA Medical

• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Instruction 
  (FOI) exam

• Successful completion of the Flight Instructor Airplane (FIA) exam

• Video meeting with CFI Course Director or President of TFA
